Quad/Care – Quad/Graphics' onsite child-care centers that primarily serve employees, but also families in the community as well, is seeking a warm and enthusiastic Childcare Director for our Lomira facility. The Manager /Childcare Director ensures the effective operation of Quad/Care child care centers.  Responsible for managing effective cost control, facility management, supervision of staff, staff meetings, orientation of new staff and continuing education for the staff.  Communications and relationship building with parents, day to day operations of center, supervision of the planning and implementation of the center's program and curriculums for the children and parents.  All focused around the safety and quality of care given to each child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the ChildCare center is meeting all state, national compliance regulations and Quad standards related to educational programs, teacher compliance requirements, facility and playground maintenance. 
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to employees including staffing, scheduling, recruitment, training, performance management and pay changes. 
  • Manage cost controls and expenditures in accordance with budget
  • Develop, maintain and enforce standard operating procedures and policies for the center
  • Maintain professional communication with parents.  Manage parent concerns and complaints.  Effectively communicate Quad/Care policies, procedures, and information through newsletters, Email, parent meetings, conferences, personal phone calls, marketing material, etc.  
  • Determine enrollment, rotation, and disenrollment for smooth transitions for children and their parents as they enter, advance within, and terminate from the center.
  • Direct all special events, fundraisers and programs run through the QuadCare center
  • Ensure that at all times the children remain the focus and we deliver an educational, fun, safe and high quality of care 
Qualifications
  • Must have completed high school or its equivalent as determined by the Wisconsin department of public instruction. Prior to beginning work as a center director they must have completed at least one of the following training requirements: 
  • Four non-credit department approved courses in early childhood education and within 3 years of assuming the position the Wisconsin Child Care Administrator Credential. 
  • Four courses for credit in early childhood education from an institution of higher education and within 3 years of assuming the position, the Wisconsin Child Care Administrator Credential -OR- 
  • Forty eight credits from an institution of higher education with at least 3 credits in early childhood education. An associate or bachelor degree in early childhood education. 
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a teacher or center director in a licensed child care center or other approved setting.
  • Must have Administrator Credential or Director Course, Early childhood I & II, Infant & Toddler, CPR Training, Shaken Baby Syndrome, Child Abuse & Neglect, Sudden Infant Death and the Registry.  Complete annual 25 hours of continuous education.
  • Must have knowledge of early childhood to work with and create age appropriate lesson plans to meet the needs of all ages within the childcare center. Must be able to lift, bend twist and get down on the floor with the children. Must understand that working with children means to get at their level and be respectful.
