BlueSoHo, an integrated marketing agency serving multinational B2C and B2B clients, seeks a Director, Production Services On-Sites to be based out of our New York City office. This position would be responsible for oversight and Production guidance for Production Services on-sites and clients. The ideal candidate will apply best practices learned and apply them to the on-site Teams to help ensure best and most efficient technologies are in place, that the staff is working at peak performance and create a total “team” atmosphere. The Director, Production Services On-Sites will interact with the client’s management to ensure smooth transition and align staff with Magazine’s short and long term goals.  

Additional responsibilities include: 
  • Proper management, oversight and efficient use of staff
  • Apply, where and when applicable, similar processes across the platform
  • Ability to provide cross training and proper back-up for PTO and otherwise out of office time
  • Working knowledge of pre-press, paper ordering techniques, production finance and distribution are valued
  • Schedule and host Quarterly Business Reviews with clients to insure goals of team and magazine are in lockstep
  • Assist with transition of new clients and installation of best practices
  • Set and fulfill annual cost savings for clients
  • Conduct annual reviews for staff members
  • Ensure internal communication regarding performance of team and roles and responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor and level set staffing needs
This position is client facing and intensely wrought with high expectations.  Must be willing to deal with and diffuse highly emotional decision making processes and instill in on-boarding staff the benefits of working for Quad/Graphics. Multi-tasking and dealing with multiple clients simultaneously is a must.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year accredited college or university in Business Management or related field. 
  • 10+ years of Production Management experience required
  • Adaptable, non-judgmental solutions oriented, goal driven and have exceptionally strong managerial experience.   
  • Knowledge of plant operations, magazine mapping, ad production and information sharing is critical to the success of this role.   
  • Must be customer focused and tech savvy.
