Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
Quad/Graphics is currently seeking an Industrial Electrician. The ideal candidate is responsible for servicing and troubleshooting the production and support equipment within our plants. Applicants will also preferably be knowledgeable in the areas of machine installation, preventative maintenance, and machine operation.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Working with voltages up to 480 vac
- Working knowledge of PLC’s
- Installation and troubleshooting of relay and PLC controlled equipment
- Working with AC/DC motors and drives
The Oklahoma City facility can be summed up in one word: growth. We have more than quadrupled our size since opening in 2003. Today we are the largest print-production facility west of the Mississippi River. Quad/Graphics is a casual and friendly place to work where ingenuity is rewarded and diversity is embraced.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Electronics or related field and/or
- State Electrical license, or a minimum of 5 years of electrical / electronic repair experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate proficiency utilizing a personal computer, ordering parts and materials by using appropriate company purchasing requirements including computerized maintenance management systems
- Maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic circuitry and related components associated with Production and facility equipment
- Basic knowledge in the electronic diagnostics of PLC's, AC/DC drive systems and various types of computer operated control circuitry
- Utilize electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry diagrams, and software programs to modify, repair, or improve equipment functionality
- Utilize a variety of tools such as: hand tools, power tools, electrical/electronic test equipment and calibration equipment
- Self-motivated, have good communication skills, and working relationships with others
- Ability to work 12 hours rotating shifts (7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) with some overtime required.
- Ability to work closely with engineers, technicians and peers to maintain electronic/electrical systems on new and specialized equipment with knowledge of the National Electrical Code and execute the most cost effective method to fulfill customer and code requirements
