Position Overview:
QuadMed, an employer-sponsored healthcare model that operates and manages medical clinics at Quad/Graphics sites and other businesses, is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician or Scientist to provide laboratory services primarily at the QuadMed location in West Allis with possible need for rotation to other QuadMed locations in SE Wisconsin including Lomira and Sussex. This position is part-time, 24 hours per week.
Responsibilities of this position include phlebotomy for all ages, specimen processing, data entry, specimen testing in house and also handling of specimens to be sent to a reference facility. This position will also be responsible for performance of Hematology and automated Chemistry and Immunology testing. The Clinical Laboratory Technician or Scientist will be expected to follow all laboratory processes and procedures, perform and record maintenance, perform proficiency testing, adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, maintain patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
DATIA drug screen collection certification and Breath Alcohol Technician Certification will be required and provided if needed. CPR Certification is also required.
Strong computer skills are essential as well as excellent communication skills. The ability to work unsupervised will be expected.
Requirements for this position include at minimum an Associate’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited School as well as Board Certification from ASCP (American College of Physicians). Two years of laboratory experience desired.
