The Senior Director of Operations Lodging – Park City supports the Hospitality Division in Canyons Village with the execution and oversight of the following divisions: Grand Summit Hotel, Maintenance and Housekeeping for all Lodging in Canyons Village, all Property Management Operations in Canyons Village and the Rock Resort Spa. This position will serve as the direct reporting line and relationship with that area’s property manager group and primary relationship manager with homeowner associations and other key external contacts.  This position is based at the Grand Summit Hotel in Canyons Village. The individual will spend a significant amount of time on growing our lodging portfolio in Park City, leveraging local and corporate based resources. 

 

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

 

  • Serves as General Manager of the Grand Summit Hotel.
  • Responsible for all results of the Grand Summit Hotel – including financial, guest service, brand standards/quality control, safety/workers compensation and other measures.
  • Responsible for oversight of the Sundial and Silverado Lodges.
  • Oversees the successful integration of future property projects (Apex, Lift, Etc.)
  • Maintains executive level relationships with key HOA presidents/boards.
  • Serves on boards in local community based on needs and requirements.
  • Responsible for the growth of the hospitality business in the Park City market – for property management/rental management services.
  • Coordinates efforts between other supporting departments such as Food & Beverage and Conference Services.
  • Participates in the Park City Hospitality Senior Leadership Team on a recurring and regular basis.
  • Maintains high ethical and moral standards, serving as an example to the team.
  • Works on special projects as requested by the VP.
  • Works at all levels in the organization to identify innovative ideas and initiatives that will build value for the company.
  • Manage daily on-site operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with homeowners and Board of Directors of the associations.
  • Oversee the housekeeping/maintenance department for lodging division.
  • Develop and implement new programs to ensure the highest quality of service to all homeowners, guests, and employees.
  • Ensure association agreements, responsibilities, and obligations are being met and adhered to.
  • Obtain capital project bids; oversee projects
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • College degree, preferred degree in Hospitality Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum seven years of leadership experience in hospitality operations with experience in property management/vacation rentals a plus.
  • Varied experience in operational leadership such as Rooms, Spa, Food & Beverage or similar.
  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.  Maintains a professional, cooperative and friendly demeanor at all times.
