Description

Electronic Tech Trainee NS

Learn to perform all assigned Electronic Technician duties to advance up to a Class "A" Technician, including equipment repairs, PM's, diagnostics, troubleshooting and emergency response on equipment.

Responsibilities

#1 Responsible to move throughout the facility, reach vertical heights up to 150' to perform repairs, PM's, and monitor equipment in both open and confined spaces.
#2 Use of vehicle to transfer self, tools and equipment, voltage meters, testing equipment, soldering equipment, to perform and meet the electronic knowledge, skills and abilities of a "Trainee" Electronic Technician per attached sheet.
#3 Learn to perform preventive maintenance as assigned which includes but is not limited to repair, diagnostics, cleaning, lubrication, upgrading, of machinery, scales, printers, necessary computers etc.
#4 Be willing to learn the programming of PLC's, Panelview Programing, and Weightronix Simposer Software.
#5 Be willing to learn diagnostics and repair of circuit board level repair.
#6 Be able to read and understand electronic and electrical schematic diagrams.
#7 Become able to respond to emergency breakdowns during both on and off duty hours to ensure operations continue on a 24 hours a day basis.
#8 Generates and submits paperwork relative to work performed, such as daily work orders, parts requisitions, and any related to meetings, safety, etc.
#9 Perform all equipment repairs and daily work within OSHA regulations, lockout/tag-out, and Perdue safety book guidelines.
#10 Communicate as necessary to all other Electronic Technicians daily issues, fixes, needed repairs, emergency repairs, as well as any needed scheduled repairs needed for weekend work. #11 Must be able to become NFPA 70E, CPR and First Aid Certified.

Required Education

Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must be able to do shop math and can interpret drawings.

Preferred Education

A high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required Qualifications

Valid state drivers license (Class "C"), Basic Electronic knowledge.Desire and drive to learn and good attitude for advancement.

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
#1 Exposed to plant and seasonal weather temperatures from 0 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
#2 Exposed to noise levels up to 115 dbs., Hearing protection is required per Perdue policy.
#3 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per Perdue policy.
#4 Chemical exposure which is covered under Perdue policy by PPE requirements.
#5 Bending, lifting and climbing is required.
