Inbound Transportation Coordinator

Interfaces directly with Stores, Distribution Centers and Transportation Companies to provide a timely flow if merchandise while working to maintain the lowest possible transportation cost.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Creates daily delivery schedule based on volume, obtains maximum savings by splitting or combining loads without affecting service to the stores.

Supports Stores, Distribution Center, Loss Prevention and Transportation companies through timely communication.

Monitors and communicates with transportation vendors to ensure performance compliance and problem resolution are maintained.

Creates and monitors cross dock schedule.

Generates and issues all reports, logs and other written communication.

Monitors Return to Vendor (RTV) process. (Dispatch, trace)

Participates in special projects as assigned.
