JOB RESPONSIBIILTIES

This individual will provide diversified administrative support for the Merchandise Control Department while acting as liaison between the Distribution Centers and the Home Office Merchandising by representing the interests of Merchandising and Planning and Allocation. Area of responsibility include:

  • Perform a variety of administrative, clerical and general office duties in support of Merchandise Manager and the Merchandise Control Group.
  • Receives and distributes all AD information to the Management Team. If necessary will arrange special transportation for stores to receive goods on time for the break date.
  • Document and coordinate with Home Office, Financial Control and Accounts payable with all Return to Vendors/Damages/Charity/Salvage in accordance to DC best practices
  • Manage and analyze LPR database for accuracy, tracking all errors and corrections. Verify style stock ledger for accuracy and unit discrepancies.
  • Manage and execute Drop Shipments for vendor payment while ensuring appropriate allocation on goods.
  • Manage IMSP priority list in partnership with Planning and Allocation. Relay priority department updates to Senior Leadership and Operations.
  • Analyze all manual store bill/unbill for accuracy.
  • Must have the ability to recognize any Exceptional Inventory Events and work closely with Financial Control to avoid DC shrink.
  • Responsible to send all samples requested by Home Office
  • Manage all supply ordering for the Merchandise Control Team.
  • Communicate with internal, corporate business partners as necessary; coordinate all aspects of store visits and travel arrangement for the Merchandise Control Group.
  • Communicate and coordinate with external business partners as necessary; to include, vendors, contractors etc.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Power Point , Word and Excel , in addition to web-based administrative applications
  • Experience operating a variety of general office equipment, including fax machines, scanners, and copiers
  • 1-2 yrs. experience as an Executive/Administrative Assistant in a corporate environment (including internship experience) preferred.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with a professional character
  • Exceptionally organized with strong prioritization skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Quick learner, with a positive attitude, and ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Trustworthy and dependable
  • Ability to take direction from multiple sources with a variety of management styles
  • Flexible, to adjust work hours as necessary for special projects
