About this job

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving and completing projects related to the development and manufacture of medical devices. This person is also often the primary technical point of contact for the customer. Provides technical support and solutions for manufacturing to meet quality, safety and cost objectives. Ensures quality system and customer requirements are met. Will be leading New Product Introduction from start to finish, but only from a facility-centric standpoint. Including validation of any new process introduced to the production line or new piece of equipment added to the line. Develop manufacturing processes, equipment/tooling alternatives, sequence, and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel, material, machines, and facilities necessary for the production of parts.

Work Environment: More time spent at their desk than on the manufacturing floor. When there is equipment process validations occurring in the project, the engineer would be spending a decent amount of time on the floor. Qualifications: -Experience leading a project in a manufacturing environment
-Experience with FMEA, DOE, process capability, and FEA
-Experience in the medical device industry
-B.S. degree in engineering with 3+ years of experience
Performance Expectations: PERFORMANCE METRICS
-Time frame on training, would not expect too much, period of generally around 30- 90 days
-Assigned a project and given expectations regarding deadlines of completion
-Communication ability with project stakeholders, other team members, etc.
