Die Repair Technician
This is a 1st shift position. 6:00am - 2:30pm.
This person will be responsible for all aspects of the tool room. They will have to perform the die repair, assist others in die repair as well as maintaining the tool room and the inventory. The die repair process will consist of receiving a die and the part that may have a defect or impurity. This person should be able to troubleshoot the die and the part together to figure out what needs to be sharpened, repaired or replaced to fix the impurity in that part. This will consist of using hand tools, surface grinders, Bridgeport mills and lathes and anything else used in the die repair process. The second piece of the job is actually logging and maintaining inventory of incoming and outgoing dies. They will train on how to do this correctly but this person will need an understanding of at least the die repair process. There will be no design or building involved in this role. It is strictly die repair and maintenance.
Qualified Candidates Must Have:
- 4+years repairing dies/molds
- 4+ years using manual machines
- have their own tools
- willingness to perform some tool room management duties
