Position Summary:

Responsible for providing a safe working environment for all employees and customers in our stores while maintaining equipment. Responsible for communicating with supervisors, associates and vendors. The associate will need to be organized and have good computer skills. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

• Service of all types of general equipment (non-refrigerated).
• Parts and equipment management
• Participate in a preventative maintenance program that will include documentation and repair of equipment on a scheduled program.
• Run service calls to multiple store locations using Kroger owned service vehicle.
• Keep a high level of efficiency through skills training and effective call management skills
• Keep equipment operational and in safe conditions and provide safe use of equipment
• Flexibility to work a variety of schedules as required (nights, weekends and holidays)
• Participate in a service "on-call" rotation for 24 hour response.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Experience in safety codes- Knowledge of safety codes and ability to research new codes and requirements for our mechanics to follow.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs.
• Organizational skills- Must be able to maintain organized files on training and safety.
• Building Strategic Working Relationships - Developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
• Building Trust - Interacting with others in a way that gives them confidence in one's intentions and those of the organization.
