Responsibilities*

* Coordinate a variety of projects, functions, and program components (e.g. meetings, in-service events, etc.) in a timely fashion.

* Maintain a wide variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g. student data, community information, etc.), providing up-to-date information and historical reference in accordance with established program guidelines and legal requirements.

* Communicate and collaborate with parent work groups when needed.

* Maintain community connections on behalf of assigned Administrator (e.g. small businesses and community events).

* Locate and establish internship opportunities for WP 10th-12th grade scholars in designated communities.

* Participate in a variety of meetings, workshops, and trainings for the purpose of providing or receiving information, maintaining community and parent engagement, and supporting the needs of the students.

* Research a variety of topics (e.g. current practices, policies, education codes as they relate to community service and internships etc.) in order to provide information and recommendations.

* Respond to a variety of inquiries from internal and external parties (e.g. staff, parents, students, public agencies, etc.) in order to provide information or direction.

* Schedule a wide variety of activities (e.g. appointments, meetings, workshops, facility usage, etc.) for program.

* Work under limited supervision following standardized practices and methods; and leading, guiding, and coordinating others.

* Organize supplies for site workshops that includes print-outs, office supplies, and class supplies.

* Check Wolverine Pathways email regularly and make sure that emails are responded to in a timely manner.

* Collect and organize any tests or surveys from site so that they may be checked and data can be synthesized.

* Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the program.

Required Qualifications*

* Some experience with administration/management

* Must believe in the transformative power of education

* Has a keen interest in social equity and justice

* Some experience with community engagement

* Desire to be an advocate for the development of scholars

* Be highly recommended by at least 4 professional associates

* Must be able to attend pre-session training day and submit pre-session training assignments and materials

* Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: communicating with diverse groups; displaying tact and courtesy; maintaining confidentiality; setting priorities; being attentive to detail; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships; working as part of a team; and working with frequent interruptions

Desired Qualifications*

* Bachelor's degree in relevant concentration strongly encouraged

* Excellent communication and problem solving skills

* Social work background

* Experience with community organizing or organizational programing and implementation
