Kennel Tech/Animal Care Tech - Full-time / Part-time

Kennel Technicians and Animal Care Technicians are an integral part of our mission by promoting the humane treatment of companion animals through protection, placement, education and example. This position is a vital part of our Shelter. Kennel Techs/Animal Care Techs must be self-motivated, team players, dependable, able to multi-task, and enjoy caring for animals! The Kennel Tech/Animal Care Tech works hands on with resident animals and with customers that visit Dorchester Paws.The Kennel Tech/Animal Care Tech is responsible for the general care and maintenance of all animals at Dorchester Paws. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, duties include maintaining and cleaning animal kennels and cages, feeding and watering of all animals, monitoring food and water consumption, documenting and reporting animal temperament, behavior, abnormalities and food/water intake, walking animals to maintain their physical and mental health. The Kennel Tech/Animal Care Tech is an important part of the team as he/she is the first to report if there is a problem with an animal.
