TOP Construction General Contractor in Southern CA NOW HIRING a long-term Project Coordinator for their San Diego team.

Job Description:

To provide assistance to the project team in the administration and management of many of the activities which are associated with the construction project. The primary objective is to plan, prepare, organize and maintain project documentation. The position may involve rotating field and office assignments of all phases of construction on a variety of complex projects.

Interpersonal Skills
Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all (client, architect, subcontractors, project team, various Departments)
Promote company Values with the project team, client and subcontractors
Motivate and contribute to the teamwork/morale in the project team

Technical Skills
Assist the project team with the various processes associated with project management:
o Change Orders
o RFIs
o Work Orders
o Purchase Orders
o Daily Reports
o Meeting Minutes
o Punch List/Work Completion Lists
o Submittals
Assist in the processing of Certified Payroll on appropriate project.
Process and distribute all correspondence to and from the project.
Order and maintain all project office supplies.
Ensure the efficient handling of communications for the project staff.
Process payment applications.
Process Preliminary Notices as applicable.
Track subcontractor insurance.
Set up and maintain the site documentation, including all project administrative systems and files.
Ensure the accuracy of the Bond Information Sheet.
Assist the project team in the preparation and processing of all close out documents

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Minimum of 6 months- 2 years of appropriate project experience
  • Basic understanding of construction accounting practices and procedures
  • Basic time management and organization skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Highly skilled in MS Word and Excel
