Receiver - Full-time / Part-time

Position Summary

This is receiving and shipping work in a warehouse environment responsible for receipt of supplies and equipment, shipment of outgoing material, and facilitating delivery of material. Work is performed using computers. Interface with other departments in the hospital, pertaining to supply issues.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Work requires a high school education. Must be able to prepare reports, perform calculations, keep accurate records, possess ability to exchange factual information and deal effectively with people. Experience of 1-2 years in warehouse capacity preferred.
  
• Ability to count and total shipments.
  
• Ability to lift and/or move materials/packages weighing up to 100 pounds.
  
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with all departments regarding information on outstanding orders and shipments.
  
• Knowledge of automated shipping and receiving.
  
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and drive a truck. Certification required for forklift operation.
  
• Analytical ability necessary to identify and resolve supply and inventory problems.
