Job Description

As a Collections Account Representative I, you would be part of a dynamic corporate culture dedicated to supporting our online stores and team members. The Collections Account Representative I is all about interacting with past due and charged off customers of our virtual stores on a daily basis and developing positive solutions. Your ability to overcome objections will allow you to successfully handle customer complaints while keeping our customers on the road with their vehicle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the organization s collections and risk management strategies are carried out in a manner that results in the most profitable collections possible and in strong performance of the finance loan portfolio and risk-related products.

Resolve online store customer account problems and disputes concerning loan balances, recoveries, and product satisfaction.

Ensure all collections strategies, efforts, and results provide the proper balance between customer and account retention and problem resolution.

Work to meet daily and monthly assigned goals and objectives, and maintain assigned accounts while following all online store collections policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.

Follow recovery and liquidation recommendations and/or ensure that decisions on the disposal of any collateral are made with proper compliance to result in the smallest loss possible to the organization.

Notify management of any potential risks identified while continuing to work to ensure performance goals are consistently met or exceeded, always providing excellent and considerate customer service.

Work with management on objective goal-setting to ensure accountability and to measure quality of performance within set time periods.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four-year high school degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in collections and customer service
  • Experience in a sales or customer service-oriented position
  • Passion for great customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, rewarding, and results-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks with ease and enthusiasm
  • An outgoing and confident personality during interactions with customers, co-workers, and business partners
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

BONUS/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in retail, sales, or financial industries
  • Bilingual
