Randstad in partnership with The Hanover Insurance Group are actively seeking multiple Customer Service Representatives to join their Commercial Lines Operations division starting in November 2017 on a temp to hire basis, at their field office in Itasca, IL. As a Customer Service Representative in Commercial Lines Operations, you will support Field underwriting units by providing technical support functions including processing of new business and renewal policies as well as subsequent transactions. The role allows Underwriting Associates to focus on underwriting of routine new and renewal business and provide a superior customer service experience to agents. Works with Operations Manager to facilitate continuous operational improvements.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Estimated time allocation (subject to change):

  • New business processing (35%).

  • Renewal processing which may include requesting additional information from an agent as well as identifying the need for referral to the field based on underwriting guidelines (35%).

  • Processing of subsequent transactions (endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements) (30%).

Core responsibilities:

  • Process new business, ensuring that proper issuance documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Process renewals and endorsements in accordance with bypass guidelines or field instructions.

  • Process accurate policies and endorsements in accordance with department Service Level Agreements.

Key Measures of Success

  • New business, renewal and endorsement service metrics.

  • Productivity metrics.

  • Quality and accuracy of output.

  • Timely and efficient support of underwriting activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma with Associates Degree preferred.

  • 1-2+ years of experience in Customer Service, Retail, Administrative, and/or Financial Services experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Analytical skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Attention to detail.
