PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Assists in the daily operational duties of the energy department including the maintenance of energy inventory and equipment, energy service work and energy deliveries as needed. Provides customer service in a timely manner to increase satisfaction, maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Preforms leak test, 100# cylinder exchange and painting of cylinders and tanks

Maintains records of all regulators, including dates of manufacture and changes out as necessary

Maintains a record of all company owned tanks and equipment.

Pickup and deliver portable fuel tanks throughout the delivery areas

Preforms tank set up and delivery for all segments of the Energy Department

Provide coverage for the Energy Sales and Delivery Drivers as needed

Responsible for inventory and distribution of energy products

Performs minor repairs and maintenance of equipment as needed

Schedules major maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested

Maintains an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for minor repairs and maintenance

Responsible for maintaining operations at retail supply location

Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean, neat and organized, maintaining a professional image

Helps meet company goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs through collaboration efforts

Provides customer service in a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction, maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization

Works with area sales manager on all safety and compliance issues

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 year or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of basic business principals of inventory management, organizational skills and basic mechanics. Ability to learn GROWMARK software programs.

Required skills include minor equipment service/maintenance/adjustments (both gas & diesel), inventory control, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development

Must have and maintain a valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record

Ability to obtain a class A CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements

Ability to achieve and maintain Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) certification for the Propane duties

Attend annual Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) training

Achieve and maintain above ground tank installation certification.

Frequently exposed or required to:

  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
  • Noisy conditions
  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • May be required to work at varying heights
  • Confined spaces
  • Lift 51-70 pounds
  • Required to push heavy objects

Ability to work extended hours during seasonal demands

Ability to travel independently and overnight
