Summary:
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares journal entries and monthly financial statements for the monthly and year-end closing.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
Prepares and distributes inter-company billing, transfers and charges on a daily basis.
Responsible for project accounting to include: billings, cost analysis, and profit analysis.
Compile and track departmental expenses in automated excel model and to analyze and report budget to actual variances.
Balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Support all company safety programs
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to work independently, as well as with a team.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and instructions.
Advanced math skills.
Computer Skills:
Must have Excel skills to perform: pivot tables, data formatting, spreadsheet development, use of formulas (i.e. sumif, index, lookup, etc).
AS400 experience a plus
