Position Core Role:

This position coordinates total maintenance operations consisting of managing Equipment Service Technicians, Staff, and Team Leaders. Responsible for managing, developing and improving Preventative Maintenance Reliability Programs.

Essential Function and Responsibilities:

Maintenance shift coverage leader. Develop and evaluate EST, ESTL, and ESS performance through the maintenance APR system. Responsible for technician development. Responsible for resource management/manpower. Oversee/lead root cause analysis, countermeasure implementation and schedule countermeasure implementation. Lead technical improvement themes and support business plan activities. Coordinate contractor management for assigned area. Interact with EST's to understand their daily struggles to help determine the future needs of the group as well as set equipment priorities. Plan future direction for cost, equipment installation, repairs, and make/track presentations for business plan review. Work with associates to determine what the department training needs are. Review future needs for end of life equipment/components. Review weekend work check out methods. Review daily equipment troubles. Set countermeasure direction/implementation. Assist with mechanical drawing filling and understanding of what we currently have and what we need in the department.

Daily Tasks:

Lead during downtime situations. Responsible for floor coverage management and link with other support groups. Follow up on carry over from previous shifts. Work on current project assignments and down time countermeasures. Establish safety and COP (clean-up, organize, and pick up) direction. Prioritize and manage shift to shift activities. Manage, assign, and follow up on pending items from zone audits. Support Honda SEQDCM (safety, environmental, quality, delivery, cost, and morale) categories. Daily coordinator/manager meeting.

Experience:

Minimum 4 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred) if external candidate. Internal candidate minimum 4 yrs. exp. as EST. Minimum 2 yrs. experience as ESTL/ESS preferred.

Required Skills:

Proficient in Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting.

Proficient in PLC troubleshooting.

Ability to change shift on short notice based on department needs.

Required to work overtime, weekends, shutdowns, and holidays as needed.

Solid PDCD, RCA, and 5Y skills.

Maximo proficient.

Experience with Microsoft Office- Excel

Experience with SAP.

Experience with Vision Systems (Keyence, Fanuc).

Strong budgeting skills.

Understanding of department equipment processes.

Understanding of department process flow and characteristics.

Proven leadership skills.

Develop organizational skills.

Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal format.

Experience with RCM (Reliably Center Maintenance) initiatives.

Degree:
