Maint Mechanic A- NIGHT SHIFT
The Georgetown Complex is looking for new team members to join our Maintenance team on NIGHT SHIFT.

Responsibilities

#1 Responsible to move throughout the facility, reach vertical heights up to 150' to perform repairs, PM's, and monitor equipment in both open and confined spaces.
#2 Use of vehicle to transfer shelves, tools and equipment to perform and met the mechanical knowledge, skills and abilities of a "A" Mechanic.
#3 Performs preventive maintenance as assigned which includes but is not limited to fabrication, rebuilding of machinery, gearboxes, pumps, etc.
#4 Respond to emergency breakdowns during both on and off duty hours to ensure operations continue on a 24 hours a day basis.
#5 Generates and submits paperwork relative to work locations such a work orders, time cards, job cards, and any related to meetings, safety, etc.
#6 Perform all equipment repairs and daily work within OSHA regulations, lockout/tag-out, and Perdue
safety book guidelines.

Required Experience

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a similar role.

Required Education

Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must be able to do shop math and can interpret drawings.

Preferred Education

Vocational/Technical school completion or equivalent training or years practical experience in areas of specialization.

Required Qualifications

Valid state drivers license (Class "C"), knowledge, skills, and abilities of a "C" Mechanic.

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
#1 Exposed to plant and seasonal weather temperatures from 0 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
#2 Exposed to noise levels up to 115 dbs, Hearing protection is required per Perdue policy.
#3 Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ) as required per Perdue policy.
#4 Chemical exposure which is covered under Perdue policy by PPE requirements.
#5 Bending , lifting and climbing is required.
#6 Included are exposure to chlorine, ammonia vapors, carbon dioxide (10 ppm), dry ice, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and caustic detergent.
