Senior Financial Accountant, Financial Reporting and Consolidation

The primary objective for the team is to prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidated divisional financial packages and SEC Filings in an efficient and timely manner. This associate will assist with the preparation of consolidated multinational divisional financial statements and SEC filings and will have interaction with Corporate Accounting, BP&A, Tax, Treasury, Divisional Finance, Investor Relations and Legal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidations of division financial statements.
• Assist with the preparation of all SEC reporting filings including press releases, Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K and Annual Report.
• Assist in preparation of financial statement disclosures, and applicable supporting schedules and reviewing with external auditors and internal customers.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in quarterly analytics and investigate unusual variances.
• Prepare Sarbanes Oxley documentation, testing and reporting.
• Prepare quarterly government census data.
• Assist in researching new and recently issued accounting standards, review and research competitor disclosures.
• Assist in benefit plan financial statement preparation and related audits.
• Assist in other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years technical accounting (public-private mix preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Strong attention to detail & data accuracy
• Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) a plus
• Ability to self-motivate, be proactive and function independently
