We are currently hiring a Pick and Pack Worker - Packaging/Filling to support a major medical device manufacturer located in Tampa, FL. Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 3 pm to 11:30 pm Rate of pay: 9.85 per hr. PLEASE NOTE: OPPORTUNITY FOR PERMANENT HIRE BASED ON PERFORMANCE, ATTENDANCE, ETC...*** Position Summary: Basic proficient operations of packaging equipment, including Little David Case Tapers, manual line operations, hand labeling, visual inspections, BFB bundlers, line and equipment cleaning and line clearances, proper and correct documentation practices. Must be able to work in non-aseptic filling operations. Requires special gowning practices and techniques. This position requires line clearance qualification, Wise Owl Training and all related EHS training including BAPP Observations, LOTO qualification, 100 status of all Compliance Wire requirements including SOP, EHS training, Company policy training and the required 6 hours minimum if GMP s maintained throughout the year. 1. Operates basic packaging line equipment. Maintain production area as to prevent cross-contamination line clearance failures, cleans packaging lines after each run and perform line clearances. Responsible for maintaining OEE. 2. Properly document all activities and operations correctly and on time. 3. Meets and maintains all required training during the year. 4. Support LASER and WISE OWLS initiatives. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma 1-3 years of pharmaceutical, food, bottling or cannery, cosmetic or related field Knowledgeable in proficiency operating packaging equipment Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and /or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Good communication skills Good mathematical skills Able to work quickly and under pressure The ability to work quickly and accurately, and pay attention to detail.
