We are actively seeking candidates for our Summer 2018 Team who are looking to take a break from the daily grind and step into the peaceful environment of one of the world's oldest national parks.

Our operation features 2 separate areas within the Park - Rim Village and Mazama Village. We have 3 dining facilities, 3 retail outlets, a campground, cabins, and lodge. We also offer daily boat tours for our guests.

Southern Oregon offers diverse recreational opportunities for your days off - we have deserts, rainforests, mountains, marshes, and the Pacific Ocean is only a few hours away. Of course, the gem of the entire region is Crater Lake!

Responsibilities

Summary:The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for all functions of the Laundry department, including guiding employee performance and monitoring quality of work to ensure Company guest service standards are met. Works alongside diverse staff to ensure timeliness and efficiency of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Performs all duties with the ultimate goal of providing exemplary guest service.

-Maintains positive and professional communications with Location Manager and coworkers.

-Maintains positive and professional communications with other department managers, Shuttle Drivers, and Warehouse Crew.

-Maintains a clean an organized workspace, with particular care given to those areas which are in guest view.

-Writes schedule for Laundry department with fairness and consistency; ensures all shifts are covered; adjusts schedule for efficiency of the operation. Submits schedule to Location Manager for approval in timely manner.

-Establishes and maintains overall positive and professional tone of the Laundry department to keep staff motivated and productive.

-Guides employee performance utilizing the How s It Going (HIG) form. Addresses employee performance through coaching, mentoring, or corrective action.

-Provides timely feedback throughout workday to ensure staff is following policies and procedures, especially as they relate to a safe work environment.

-Monitors and coaches staff in all aspects of the Laundry department to ensure quality of work, consistency, and efficiency.

-Delegates tasks while leading by example.

-Ensures all staff members are fully trained in their positions and provides follow up training throughout the course of the entire season.

-Facilitates cross-training of staff from other departments to ensure shift coverage during periods of short staffing.

-Monitors and approves times in Kronos to ensure accurate timekeeping and adherence to budgeted labor standards for the department.

-Adheres to and enforces Company uniform and appearance standards at all times.

-Adheres to and enforces use of proper chemicals and equipment as recommended by manufacturer specifications.

-Monitors equipment and department conditions; requests all necessary repairs to maintenance and follows through to completion.

-Creates and sustains a positive working environment, a sense of pride, and teamwork amongst staff.

-Performs all duties in a safety conscious manner. Monitors department for safety hazards and reports any issues to Location Manager in a timely manner.

-Ensures all laundry staff is trained on Blood Borne Pathogens and that policies and procedures are strictly followed for any bodily fluid(s) clean up.

-Performs all duties with consideration of the Company s environmental commitment, especially as it pertains to water and chemical usage.

-Attends meetings as required.

-Performs administrative duties, such as responding to emails, phone calls, and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

-Performs other duties as assigned with positivity and professionalism.

Supervisory Responsibilities:The Laundry Supervisor supervises the Laundry Attendants. Communicates in a positive and professional manner with the Warehouse Crew and Shuttle Drivers in coordinating the transportation of all laundered items throughout the operation.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience, Physical Demands:

-Prior experience in seasonal hospitality, especially National Park(s) highly preferred.

-Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred.

-Prior experience and working knowledge of industrial or hotel laundering highly preferred.

-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse staff.

-Prior experience with Microsoft Office preferred.

-First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

-Valid U. S. driver s license required.

-Physically able to: perform all duties in various weather (temperatures in the Laundry department can vary between 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit), walk/stand/bend/reach throughout the workday, repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull heavy loaded laundry carts, assist with loading and unloading box truck for deliveries and drop-offs, repeatedly climb and descend stairs throughout workday, work with required chemicals, perform administrative duties at a computer/desk for up to 1-2 hours per workday.
