1st Shift - $17.00 to $19.00 an hour based on experience.
Responsibilities Will Consist Of:
- Design, measure and cut wood to build crates for domestic and export shipping of non-standard items to include machines, sub-assemblies, parts and accessories.
- Inspect product and work from blueprints, sketches, shipping instructions and other specifications to determine size and shape of container, materials of construction and supports and braces to be used.
- Prepare machines for shipment by securing nameplates, decals, reference tags, coupling guards, etc in place as required. Ensure that all machine surfaces are protected with oil or other protective coatings as prescribed or directed.
- Place product into a crate, manually or with a hoist, and secure in place using bolts or other strapping material.
- Mark, label and identify packaged items with appropriate markings and identifications.
- Assembly rigging to lift and move equipment or material, select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved. Hoist and move loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled.
- Assist with other Shipping & Receiving tasks as required.
