About this job

We currently have 2 additional openings due to the recent retirement of electrically-qualified technicians.

** 70% electrical / 30% strong mechanical background

We are currently looking for electro-mechanical technicians who are mechanically & electrically inclined.

***Emphasis on the electrical troubleshooting and proof of electrical training is a must. ***

This is a manufacturing facility so there are a lot of conveyors and electro-mechanical components that will need troubleshooting/fixing. Highly Automated facility where most of the machinery communicates to a PLC (Allen-Bradley or Beckoff).
Most equipment that will be worked on is high speed / high precision rotary equipment.

The most important thing for maintenance managers is to get sound/smart technicians who won't just temporarily fix problems, just to have to re-fix the same thing the next day; rather, they want technicians who will figure out how to permanently fix the problem so that it won't reoccur.

Job Duties:
-Combination of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
-Experience working on automated machinery
- work around tight tolerances
-Comfortable working with 480v
-Experience with single and 3 phase motors/drives
-Base PLC experience (inputs/outputs) Allen-Bradley
-Hands-on experience in fast paced manufacturing environment
-Ability to read a schematic/blueprint
-Electrical troubleshooting and PLC experience are highest priority

*Understanding of applicable codes and standards relative to the field (NEC).
*Knowledgeable and competent in safety disciplines stipulated by OSHA.
*Candidate must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics (European Standards knowledge is a plus).
*Must have knowledge of and experience with PLC control systems.
-Able to read and understand ladder logic pro

- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Certifications or technical degrees earned are required to be shown

Shift: Night shift 12 hour (While in training, this person will train on 1st shift M-F for 8 hours but will move to a 12 hour night shift after training is completed)
