Auto Service Center Assistant Manager Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Store Manager in the day to day operations and other management duties.
Assist the Store Manager in training, leading and developing employees in accordance with company guidelines.
Manage the store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
Resolve customer issues as outlined by the specific circumstances.
Understand and comply with OSHA and EPA standards.
Ensure that employees follow safety guidelines & use personal protective equipment.
Follow, teach and manage that employees perform the procedures and follow all policies as instructed at all times.
Follow, teach and manage that all employees follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Ensure that all equipment and the facility is well maintained.
Handle personnel issues in absence of Store Manager in a professional manner.
Ensure the store is opened and closed properly.
Assist management team in upholding store image standards.
Other duties as requested or assigned.
Auto Service Center Assistant Manager Requirements/Competencies:
Customer service skills to manage the customer’s experience and difficult customer situations.
Ethics and integrity to treat others with respect.
Basic computer skills to enter the customer and vehicle information correctly and complete other tasks.
Cash handling skills.
Auto Service Center Assistant Manager Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6-12 months of Automotive Technician or similar experience required.
