Description

Material Handler

The Material Handler performs a variety of warehouse related duties including, but not limited to, loading, unloading and moving materials in and around the warehouse

Shift and schedule

This is a full time permanent position working on 2nd shift. 2nd shift hours are from 4:00pm - 2:30am. Must have the flexibility to work overtime and weekends is required.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Load and Unload semi-trailers with propane double forklift.
  2. Move product to storage areas using the proper equipment.
  3. Stack and store product in the appropriate area according to established sequences and procedures.
  4. Rotate floor stock by moving oldest product first.
  5. Document all material transfers, shipments and movements electronically and/or on appropriate forms.
  6. Ensure items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner.
  7. Available to work all shifts, Weekends and overtime.
  8. Maintain cleanliness in assigned area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly
  • 3 years’ of forklift experience
  • 1 year of previous experience working with a 4-high drive-in racking system
