Cyber Security Software Engineer/Architect

Desired Skill Set 

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics(STEM) based degree. However, all backgrounds will be considered in place of 10+ years of proven formal professional development/software engineering experience with supporting references and portfolio of work. 
• The preeminent ability to develop/software engineer is the desired skill set, not necessarily solely academic pedigree; instead tangible real world provable track record of effectively delivering custom developed software solutions. 
• Minimum 10 - 15 years solid programming, development, and software engineering expertise 
• Languages - Python, Java/Scala/Clojure(JVM Based Language), SQL, Javascript, Markdown, HTML
• Experience and expertise associated server side/back end development associated with data pipelines, data transforms/normalization, data loading, and data streaming - moving data from point A to point B at the lowest latency computationally 
• Expertise with regular expressions chaining and lexical parsing of data toward transformation of raw event data into common open data formats such as JSON or Avro 
• Experience visualizing time series/real time data in Grafana or Kibana or similar technology such as D3.js 
• Expertise developing applications that interface with API's such as REST API's 
• Experience and Expertise in developing and fielding application capabilities via Docker 
• Experience and Expertise with the concept of Infrastructure is Code - where systems design/architecture marries to application design/architecture - one and the same 
• Not required, however would be a pro - Experience with Cyber Security Operations Computer Network Defense Mission - experience supporting operations as a developer/software engineer

• Work site: Predominately Remote Work From Home/Customer Site When on Travel 
• Position is contract only(2nd tier subcontractor agreement) - no W2 employee inquiries
• Must posses current Errors & Omissions, Liability, and Workers Compensation Insurance 
• Invoice fulfillment/payment on Net-30 terms.
• Initial period of performance March 1, 2018 - February 28, 2019 
• Bill rate $150/hr 
• Expenses reimbursed based upon federal DOD per diem  rates 
• Must be United States Citizen with a minimum current/active DOD Secret or Top Secret security clearance 
• Must be able to lift minimum of 40 pounds in weight
• Must possess active/current United States Passport
• No relocation
• 10% Travel
