Restaurant Sales & Marketing Assistant

SALES & MARKETING POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales & Marketing Assistant is an integral part of growing the business.  They are the point of contact for catering customers, handles incoming catering calls as well as follow-up calls to clients.  This person will also be involved with events held at the restaurant as well as in the community. They will grow the business by following up on catering leads and marketing to the trade area.  When not focused on sales & marketing responsibilities, this person also works the front line as a Sandwich Artist completing Sandwich Artist duties.  This person will also effectively maintain all catering relationships. 

The job responsibilities enable this position to have a flexible schedule and offers 20 to 25 hours per week. More hours are available with additional in-house restaurant duties.  This may change as our needs change.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works directly with Marketing person and/or Management to determine marketing targets and goals.
• Actively help coordinate and participate in community events and in-house events. This includes but is not limited to fundraisers, restaurant tours, anniversaries, and birthdays parties.
• Must have effective communication skills.  This person must be professional and use appropriate etiquette at all times.  Have a passion to serve others and deliver exceptional customer service with clients.
• Actively reach out to churches, businesses, and schools, and help build sales, including making phone calls and contacting apartment offices to establish repeat and referral business.
• Provide a clear and concise log for accountability (may include start/end times and mileage). Must be organized when writing notes, and assisting Manager to maintain client files and database.
• Well versed on entire catering menu and production requirements.  Online catering courses may be required.
• Must be familiar with a computer as this position requires use of Microsoft Suites, as well as the internet.
• Communicate needs to management (such as products or next day staffing) for upcoming catering events.
• Must have an outgoing personality to make onsite visits with catering clients.
• Must be available from the hours of 8AM to 6PM Mon. through Fri. Candidate must also be available for occasional weekend and evening events or catering deliveries as they arise.
• Must have your own reliable transportation to assist with visits and deliveries to catering clients.
• Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and/or physical abilities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Accurately inputs all catering transactions through the POS with attention to all order details.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• QSR or Fast Casual restaurant experience required.  Sales skills & Interpersonal skills in telemarketing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, self-starter, and strong work ethic
• Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Compensation package:

• Starting Pay of $9.00 - $11.00 / Hour:
• You will receive 10% of all catering orders that you bring in. Reviews will be conducted offering compensation increases based on exceptional performance.
