Medical Biller/Coder

My client, a small family owned, surgical practice, is looking to bring on a medical biller and coder to support their growing team. This is a direct hire position in Stony Brook with a starting salary of $50-60K. The hours are Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Knowledge of coding, billing, appeals and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. -Working denials, reviewing claims and extensive accounts receivable management. -Checking eligibility and benefit verification including obtaining referrals and preauthorization as required. -Accurately posting insurance and self-pay payments. Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Skills: You must have 3-5 years
