About this job

This position reports to the Manager of Data Analytics and, is responsible to partner with business users and corporate IT to provide expertise to acquire, manage, manipulate, and analyze data and report results including daily operations related tasks, data capture tasks, and data presentation tasks. This will include items such as ensuring data quality, identifying and resolving issues with data of a logical or mathematical nature, identification of trends in large datasets, development of data repositories to share information with analysts and report generators as well as develop automation and self-service capabilities and other duties as assigned. This position requires adaptability and willingness to complete tasks to benefit the department and company as a whole.

  • Analyze customer and financial data across multiple POS systems and suggest explanations for shifts in trends
  • Learn terms / usage of technical skills related to Tableau, SAS, ETL tools, other implemented software packages
  • Test, run and maintain software systems such as SAS 9.4, Tableau, MS Office Suite
  • Take an active part in improving processes regarding automation of SAS programs, quality control, self-service portals, and delivery of information across the enterprise
  • Build analytical data marts that will be use by various departments to track company performance
  • Post-deployment performance monitoring and reporting of credit models to ensure expected execution


    Equivalent Education Level Required: Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or other relevant field.

    Experience Required: Experience with relational databases, data warehouses, data manipulation and presentation. 1-3 years of experience using SAS and/or other statistical packages. Experience with ETL tools such as SAS DI Studio, Informatica, or Datastage. Experience in data mining techniques and procedures knowing when their use is appropriate. SAS BASE Certification desired. Experience using SAS Real-Time Decision Manager, Model Manager, eMiner, and Customer Intelligence Studio also desirable.

    Knowledge Required: Excellent written and verbal communications skills as would be needed to communicate in person, by phone, and through email; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply information. Ability to interact professionally and exhibit appropriate social skills. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products. Ability to develop and maintain business relationships. The ability to communicate with people across a wide range of technical and financial knowledge. Technical expertise regarding data models and database design development. Understanding of SQL for Oracle and MS SQL Server. Knowledge of statistics, at least to the degree necessary in order to communicate easily with statisticians. Knowledge of ORACLE 12G client, SAS 9.4 (or current version) suite, Tableau, MS Office Suite, TOAD.
