Job Overview:

The responsibility of the Style Advisor: to Engender Customer Loyalty to the Bloomingdale’s brand by helping to create an Easy, Fashionable, Personal and Fun customer experience.

Essential Functions:

Impress the Customer
  • Demonstrate exemplary interpersonal skills by inserting your personality and unique characteristics into interactions with customers
  • Being Customer Centric; determining the most effective approach with each customer based on what the customer wants
Sell the Product
  • Expert on product and fashion and sells with a Fashion Voice. Shares fashion knowledge.
  • Is a pacesetter in pop culture trend spotting; able to translate assortment to reflect trends
  • Possesses selling expertise beyond immediate FOB; knows about and sells related businesses.
  • Connect Customer with Product, whatever channel or location it comes from
  • Achieve Personal Sales goals
Sell the Bloomingdale’s Experience
  • Sell product and services throughout the entire store
  • Leverage and champion the Loyallist program to drive relationships and sales volume
  • Use fulfillment tools and multiple channels to meet the customers need
  • Confidently use selling technology to meet the needs of the customer
  • Proactively create Style Advisor events (girlfriend parties, trend presentations, fit events, etc.) in partnership with Manager and Public Relations
Build Relationships
  • Acquire and develop clients. Build client base by consistently adding new clients and working to develop relationships with existing clients
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other associates, both in own area and throughout the store.
Qualifications:

Skills Required
  • Ability to turn a customer into a client
  • Enjoy meeting and interacting with customers/clients; demonstrates an energetic and positive attitude
  • Expert in selling technology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple requests
  • A team player who possesses the ability to work in a learning environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management
