Full-time and part-time positions with a variety of schedules are available. Our Retail Center will be open 7 days a week.

We will be hosting a Hiring Event at our new Retail Center Thursday, January 4th and Friday, January 5th, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 6th, 9:00 a.m. to noon.  Those hired to staff our new Retail Center will start work the week of January 15th through 19th, 2018. Our new Retail Center will open mid-February, 2018!

OBJECTIVE:

The Donation Receiving Associate is the first point of contact for customers dropping off donated items at the retail centers. Donation Receiving Associates will be held accountable for greeting customer’s timely, respectfully accepting donations, and sorting the donations. Due to the constant contact with customers it is essential that the Donation Receiving Associates provide excellent customer service displaying an “Attitude of Gratitude” in order to support the mission of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accept donated goods, varying from small items to large heavy items.
  • Ensure that every donated item is handled with care to show respect to the donor and for the item.
  • Sort donations/product into department production areas.
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading of donations/product.
  • Provide excellent Customer Service, greeting customers in a timely manner.
  • Provide a safe, organized and clean environment for both customers and fellow employees both within the store and around the parking lot.
  • Prepare product for shipping/receiving.
  • Cross-train in other departments/areas and act as back-up for other areas as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A pre-employment drug screen may be required for this position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, donation collection, or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
  • Able to repetitively lift over 50lbs, using two-wheel dolly, pallet jack, and trash compactor as required.
  • Able to be forklift certified.
  • Able to withstand prolonged standing, bending and lifting up to 8 hours per day.
  • Able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff and peers.
