We're currently seeking a Telephone Interviewer for a contract opportunity in Durham, NC. This is a great opportunity to work with our partner, who contributes significantly to improving public health around the world. This position pays $11.50 per hour.

As a Telephone Interviewer you will...

Answer inbound help desk calls, using web-based management software to handle participant requests. Also responsible for outbound calling efforts to reach participants and provide them with information about study activities, as well as conduct survey interviews as needed.

Interviewers will:

  • Identify participant needs, clarify information, research participant issues and provide solutions
  • Conduct survey interviews by phone, adhering to study standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Follow call center scripts and learn study background information, including frequently asked questions material
  • Participate in team communication, be a team player and willing to work collaboratively with team members in a positive manner
  • Reliably work their scheduled shifts

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills, be able to listen to participant inquiries and respond appropriately
  • Previous experience in a customer support role
  • Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, learn new software, and conduct data entry
  • Maintain attention to detail and conduct themselves professionally at all times
  • High school degree, prefer two years of post-secondary education

  • Full time hours - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
