Overview
The Restaurant Concierge is the first employee to greet and interact with customers as they enter the and is responsible for telling customers the Wendy's story and setting the tone for the overall, elevated customer experience. The ideal candidate will be personable, extremely welcoming and have a naturally engaging smile. Individuals with a background in theater, performance or public speaking are desirable. The primary duties for the Restaurant Concierge include welcoming every guest and then facilitating their order placement through the customer self-order kiosk or the register. In addition, the Host will direct/coordinate other team members in the execution of high level customer service and be able to conduct huddles on hospitality and provide feedback to the Management team on the customer experience. Secondary duties include conducting table visits, properly handling customer complaints using the 'Believe-Listen-Apologize-Serve-Thank' (BLAST) model and assisting with dining room, patio and restroom cleanliness. Hosts must also have the ability to multi-task and to improvise when challenges and problems arise, specifically with customer order technologies. This is the most important front of the house role so we are looking for people who "light up the room" with their personality!
Specific Responsibilities Include
  • Oversees and manages the customer experience and customer ordering process from initial greeting, order placement using the Self-Order Kiosks (or the Register for cash transactions or when necessary) and directs the customer to the appropriate next steps depending on their order (i.e. Drink station, carryout, dining room seating); Thanks every customer when they leave the restaurant
  • Conducts table visits with customers seated in the dining room and handles customer complaints using the BLAST model
  • Direct/coordinate other team members in the execution of high level customer service and conduct huddles on hospitality and provide feedback to the Management team on the customer experience
  • Addresses any technical problems or difficulties with the Customer Self-Order technology
  • Assists with dining room, patio and restroom cleanliness when necessary

Education / Experience

  • Education: Working toward a High School diploma or Associates / Bachelors degree (preferred). Additional education information (major, etc.): Communications, Theatre, Public Speaking
  • Personable, extremely welcoming, people oriented, natural engaging smile
  • Ability to run the register
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to improvise when problems arise
  • Ability to address technical problems with customer order systems
  • Ability to multi-task and still focus on the customer and customer experience
