Physical Therapist - Full-time

Ability Builders for Children LLC is a NYS-approved agency that provides home-based early intervention in New York City, Westchester and Nassau. We are currently looking for full-time or part-time Physical Therapists who are interested in starting, shifting to or continuing a rewarding and challenging career in pediatric physical therapy. Responsibilities include: Provide direct care treatment to children; ages Birth - 3 Plan, prepare and perform individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve and/or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and/or prevent physical dysfunction in patients. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress and plans for re-evaluation. Evaluate effectiveness of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit. Collaborate with other service providers to secure needed services for families. Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Qualifications: Must have NYS License. Pediatric experience preferred but we are also willing to give support and training for entry-level applicants, Preferably with experience working in Early Intervention DOH Approval preferred but not required, Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Be efficient, organized, and able to write detailed reports. Willingness to meet with families in their homes or community, Willingness to provide per-diem work, Can provide ongoing care services, evaluation or both. Bilingual is a plus, Can work in any or all 5 boroughs (Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island and Brooklyn), including Westchester and Nassau counties.
