Job Summary
The Director, Human Resources - East Division is responsible for partnering with management to ensure employee staffing and development objectives are achieved across the division, for ensuring Company employment practices are adhered to, and that requisite administrative, compliance and reporting requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provides overall human resources support to division leadership, management and employees to ensure alignment with overall Company human resources philosophy, practices and processes
2. Works closely with local management to pro-actively establish and execute workforce management plans at the district and office levels to ensure staffing needs are anticipated and met
3. Directs succession planning and management development efforts across the division - works closely with division management and other human resources staff to assess current and future management needs, evaluate current and future management talent and ensure requisite development plans are established, communicated and monitored for success
4. Advocates for the infusion of the PAL tenets into the division's culture and basic operating principles - actively works to monitor employee development and performance to bring clarity, effectiveness and integrity to the SP3 program
5. Manages all employment and employee relations issues in a manner consistent with the Company's mission, vision and values - ensures objectivity and fairness when dealing with employee matters and adheres to federal, state and local regulations when coaching management and undertaking internal investigations
6. Supports the Company's and division's internal communication efforts - aimed at ensuring the successful flow, completeness and timeliness of information across all organizational levels
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in business or human resources required, with a master's degree preferred
2. Three plus years of retail operations management experience required
3. Seven to 10 years progressive human resources management experience in a retail, multi-unit environment - with a strong emphasis in employee relations, training and development and employment
4. SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential required
