Description

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the corporate human resources function, including recruitment, retention, legal compliance, benefits administration, training and development and employee relations issues. Additionally, this role oversees the communications function focused on internal and external engagement. Responsibilities

  • Educate management on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity, as well as federal and state regulations to ensure legal compliance pertaining to personnel matters
  • Oversee training and development of staff, including recruiting best practices, administration of organizational policies and procedures, and management of employee relations issues
  • Assess employee and leadership training needs, and propose solutions to meet those needs
  • Manage recruiting efforts for the administrative staff, as well as coordinate the development and implementation of staffing strategy for all administrative positions.  Partner with hiring leaders to recruit for administrative role
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure organizational compliance
  • Administer benefits, including managing the annual open enrollment process 
  • Assist with government reporting requirements
  • Communicate benefits, compensation, and personnel policies
  • Coordinate and deliver employee engagement surveys, focus groups, etc.  Analyze and interpret results, making recommendations as appropriate
  • Manage organizational safety program for the well-being of all employees and to reduce exposure and overall workers’ compensation expenses
  • Oversee employee benefit and wellness programs, including identifying potential new vendor partners via the Request for Proposal (RFP) process
  • Oversee the communications function focused on internal and external engagement
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to management and staff
  • Maintain professional approach with confidentiality.  Assure protection and privacy of health information as attained through written, electronic or verbal disclosures
  • Adhere to company policies and practices, and comply with all state and federal regulations in all aspects of human resources management
  • All duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field.  Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or similar designation in the human resources field preferred 
  • Three (3) years human resources experience with demonstrated leadership in the human resources field
  • Ability to effectively guide others to desired outcomes
  • Ability to effectively executive all levels of performance management
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility quickly
  • Advanced judgment and decision making by considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
  • Proven project management skills with the capacity for meeting deadlines while working under pressure
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions (deductive and inductive reasoning)
  • Regard confidentiality with the highest level of integrity
