Summary: Responsible to direct retail operation(s) in accordance with Corporate and Contractual guidelines - managed volume approximately $500k - 1M. Responsible for appearance of operation, maintaining staffing levels and cash management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Directs staff to provide scheduled retail services in accordance with corporate policies, and presentation standards.
  • Trains staff in customer service, proper portioning, cashier skills as well as safety and sanitation.
  • Interacts frequently with customers to determine satisfaction level and provide Service Recovery if necessary.
  • Implements Corporate programs (i.e. Balanced Choice, Quarterly Seasonal Menus, etc,) as directed by DFNS and/or RDO.
  • Implements and maintains cash handling standards as outlined in the Corporate Policies and Procedures Manual to eliminate theft of services or Company funds.
  • Interacts daily with Production Manager and/or Executive Chef to assist in production planning and reduce waste, therefore reducing costs.
  • Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadline.
  • Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits.
  • Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment.
  • Complies with regulatory agencies, including federal, state, and JCAHO as evidenced by successful completion of surveys with no deficiencies.
  • Follows facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA and patient rights policies.
  • Visits patients on an assigned nursing unit or area and helps ensure that every patient is visited by a member of the management or professional team at least once during their hospital stay.
  • Ensures staff assists in achieving stated customer satisfaction goals.
  • Follows facility, department, company, and Compass safety policies and procedures to include occurrence reporting.
  • Wears name tag identification and is aware of role in minimizing security incidents.
  • Follows the facilityÍs protocols for Hazardous Materials and Waste Program.
  • Adheres to Emergency Preparedness Program. Participates in disaster drills as appropriate.
  • Adheres to Life Safety Program and participates in fire drills as appropriate.
  • Responds to utility failures per Department policy and adheres to Lock-out/Tag-out policies as appropriate.
  • Communicates effectively with all team members, customers/patients and families through conferences, individual consultation and committee participation. This includes telephone, written, and electronic communication.
  • Participates and attends departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs, as appropriate.
  • Participates in meetings where department goals are established and implements assigned action plan to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Reads and complies with all policies and procedures of Company as appropriate.
  • Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
  • Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes, which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Culinary Arts Degree from a recognized culinary school (i.e. CIA, Johnson and Wales) or BS Degree _ Hospitality Management.
  • Five (5) years of progressive food service management experience may be substituted.
