Leading provider of intelligent vision-guided robotic systems seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Pleasanton team!

Job Duties are as follows:

  1. System-level design of electronic controls for robotics.
  2. Board-level design of complex digital, power, and mixed signal PCA's.
  3. Complete schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, DFM, prototype, and release.
  4. FPGA logic design using Verilog.
  5. Team up with embedded software developers to implement robotic tools and applications.
  6. Solve complex system and board level electronic issues using multidisciplinary skills.
  7. Support legacy designs (updates, feature additions, field-failure resolution).

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience in board-level digital, analog, and mixed signal design.
  • Strong PCB layout skills with years of experience creating production designs.
  • Experience with Verilog and FPGA design/verification.
  • Must be a self-motivated, hands-on engineer who is comfortable with mechanical systems and software tools.
  • Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering OR BSEE with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with PCA design in a professional setting.

Desirable:

  • Experience with ORCAD, P-CAD, and Viewlogic EDA packages.
  • Experience with Xilinx, Altera FPGA/CLPD design tools.
  • Experience in product design and testing for CE compliance.
  • Experience in high-voltage (~300VDC) designs.
  • Experience in embedded system design.
  • Experience in robotics or motion control.
  • Working knowledge of C programming.
