Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician  This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, all general maintenance functions for the Mt. Vernon Mead Johnson Nutrition (MJN) Distribution Center (DC).  This position coordinates outside contractors to provide maintenance on the building and equipment.  This position also maintains the preventative maintenance schedule for the building and all equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate automated battery changing station and follow all safety precautions in performing this task.Complete work orders and track performance of 3rd party material handling equipment technician.Perform general facility maintenance as needed to interior and exterior of building, fixtures, appliances and equipment.Coordinate and assist Mead Johnson facility maintenance and outside contractors when making repairs.Escort outside contractors while they perform work in facility.Ensure that all outside or 3rd party contractors have been trained on general safety rules and contractor safety.Relocate, adjust and move office furniture as needed.Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of battery changing area.Perform inspections on ladders, dock doors, dock lights, dock plates and monitors personnel door access.Maintain Preventative Maintenance schedule and log for all buildings and equipment and ensures compliance.Comply with all safety, GMP, and housekeeping requirements.Misc. tasks as assigned by the Industrial Engineer.
