The University of Wyoming School of Teacher Education invites applications from dynamic, qualified candidates with a strong background in mathematics and science education for a position as an Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach 5 courses per academic year in undergraduate/graduate initial teacher licensure programs, as well as highly respected Ph.D. programs in Mathematics and Science Education. In addition, the candidate will be expected to produce high-quality scholarship and engage in service to the school, university, and professional community. Minimum Qualifications An earned doctorate with an emphasis on mathematics education, or a closely-related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of K-6 teaching experience Demonstration of or potential for excellence in teaching, supervision and mentoring students. Demonstration of or potential for research, scholarship, and competitive extramural funding. Desired Qualifications Strong background in science education. Experience collaborating with education stakeholders in both P-12 and university settings. Experience working with diverse students and faculty. Experience or interest in distance education.
