Emergency Doctors Needed in Beautiful Santa Fe: Great Sign-On Bonus! Veterinary Emergency Specialty Centers of New Mexico (VESCNM) is currently looking for emergency doctors to support both our Santa Fe and Albuquerque facilities. We currently are looking for those interested in a position primarily located at our beautiful and spacious Santa Fe hospital, but would have opportunities for shifts in our Albuquerque hospital as well. VESCNM is a privately run specialty group with hospitals in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque. The hospital and its affiliated hospitals has board certified specialists in emergency/critical care, surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology, acupuncture, and animal behavior. Our Santa Fe hospital is expanding, with the hope of having more on site specialty services in the future, though the hospital always works closely with their co-workers in Albuquerque when needed. We offer our clients in house bloodwork, digital radiography, transfusion capabilities of all sorts, after hours emergency surgery, and one on one critical care support when needed. During regular specialty hours we can offer our clients CT, endoscopy, ultrasonography, and MRI when needed. Our ideal ER candidate is someone who has a positive attitude, constantly puts the patient first, has good time management skills, and is looking for ongoing learning and development opportunities in their career. Competence in basic emergency surgery is not a requirement, but existing surgical skills is a bonus as our ER staff will perform some of the more routine emergency surgeries after hours. Though small, our group of specialists work closely with all employees in the hospital and constantly strive to provide the absolute best patient care and client communication possible to those in need in our New Mexico community. We also value continuous learning, and in addition to providing a CE stipend we host many in hospital learning opportunities on a regular basis. Santa Fe boasts a vibrant cultural, art and culinary scene. During the summer one can take advantage of the numerous outdoor activities in the area, from biking and hiking to camping and kayaking. During the winter months there are lots of opportunities for skiing and other winter related activities. We want our doctors to be able to enjoy their time off, and try to accommodate that with flexible scheduling.
