Job Coach-Part time

CSS is a private not-for-profit social/human services agency that initiates, provides and promotes services for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families, within their communities, in order to strengthen their independence, self-esteem and ability to participate in and contribute to community life. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Part Time Job Coach. Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Community Programs, the Job Coach provides on-the-job training and support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Essential Function: Provide individualized on-the-job training.Provide support for individuals in dealing with co-workers and supervisors.Assist in developing natural supports on the job.Provide remedial skill training as necessary.Communicate with and educate employers regarding an individual's progress.Communicate regularly with Employment Specialist regarding individual performance on the job.Track data on client progress. Submit documentation in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned. Locations: South side of Chicago Western Cook County    The successful candidate must have: Previous job coaching experience preferred.A High School diploma or GED equivalent required.A valid driver's license with a clean driving record, within the last three years and must have access to a personal vehicle.Must have a flexible schedule.Must be able to pass various background checks.Chicago Tribune.
