Position Title: Retail Associate - Cashier/Admissions

Hours: Varies

Location: Store Sales

Reports to: Retail Chief

Pull-A-Part, LLC, the leading Do-It-Yourself used automotive parts resource, has immediate openings on our retail sales team for a cashier to join our team. Retail team members will be handling customers through the check in and check out process. This position requires above average cash handling skills and a positive attitude.

General Position Summary:

Responsibilities include working as part of a retail sales team to provide best in class customer service. This is a retail sales position that requires a “can do” selling spirit and the ability to work as a team to meet the store’s sales goals. The retail sales associate will be present during all peak customer traffic periods which will include weekends, customer appreciation days, or any other occasion that would generate high customer flow into the store per the specified store schedule. The retail sales associate will promote sales and service to customers. The retail sales associate is expected to maintain the excellent standards of all Pull-A-Part policies and procedures, while always being pleasant, respectful, and helpful.

Essential Functions:

1. Promote the Pull-A-Part Safety Culture.

2. Deliver friendly, helpful and professional customer service 100% of the time.

4. Be a team player. Work as a member of the team to help the team achieve its goals.

5. Maintain a high level of integrity.

6. Provide required information to customers as they enter the store. Offer friendly and enthusiastic answers to customer questions. SMILE, GREET

7. Follow proper cash handling procedures at all times.

8. Work as a team towards housekeeping, janitorial, and other duties as assigned by the task list. This can include cleaning tires, carrying batteries, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, etc.

9. Follow all company policies and procedures.

10. Identify when customer interaction requires assistance from management.

11. Complete sales training on an ongoing basis as provided by the Retail Chief.

12. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualification

1. Must work safely at all times. Follow and promote the Pull-A-Part Safety standards. Follow all safety requirements, including being safety minded and watching out for our customers.

2. Must have good people skills with an outgoing friendly positive attitude.

3. Able to work retail hours including overtime, weekends and holidays

4. Must have reliable means of transportation to get you to your scheduled shift.

5. Must be able to read, write, and speak in the English language.

6. Must be comfortable using a computer

7. Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.

8. Be proficient in automotive part/product identification and recognize parts and how they relate to our customer receipts.

9. Follow company dress code policy, maintaining a well groomed, neat appearance so as to create a favorable impression with the customers.

10. Previous experience in a retail environment preferred but not required.

11. Previous cashier experience a plus.

12. Automotive parts knowledge a plus

Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions:

1. Standing, lifting, walking, bending, and stretching are required regularly to perform customer care,

2. Manual dexterity to handle tools and the ability to move or lift 50 pounds are regularly required to perform routine functions.

3. Manual dexterity to maintain the housekeeping of the facility by mopping, sweeping, etc... In conjunction with but not limited to assigned Task List duties.

4. Vision must be sufficient to perform job functions safely as described above.

5. Able to work on feet (stand and walk) for the assigned work shift.

Job Conditions:

1. Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions.

2. Exposure to occasional noisy conditions and machinery operation.
