Job Description

Crossroads Equipment Finance & Leasing is hiring a Loan Documentation Team Leader in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The scope of this position encompasses the coordination of documentation preparation activities, review of completed documentation packages, training of documentation team members, and serving as the primary resource/subject matter expert and supervisor for the documentation staff. The Loan Documentation Team Leader also ensures compliance with all service standards, policies, & procedures related to documentation. This position serves customers by managing processes to ensure timely and appropriate responses to customer and documentation requests.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day work flow & distribute work among the staff accordingly

  • Serve as liaison with internal and external partners, communicating to ensure the prompt processing of documentation related transactions

  • Work with internal and external partners and their personnel to resolve any documentation preparation obstacles in the most efficient and timely manner possible

  • Provide internal and external partners with subject matter expertise regarding the documentation of transactions

  • Supervise and manage documentation staff

  • Responsible for quality and quantity of transaction processing, ensuring service standards are met, and compliance with policies and procedures

  • Responsible for title preparation process and maintaining strategic relationships with third-party vendors assisting in the securing of titles for the organization

  • Train staff and establish standard operating procedures

  • Establish and maintain monitoring metrics for staff, providing associated reporting to superiors as requested

  • Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships, modeling established Crossroads values

  • Provide recommendations to Risk Manager regarding policy and process changes

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in documentation or documentation administration

  • Three to five years of functional area supervisory experience preferred including accountability for employee coaching and development; paralegal certification a plus

  • Five years minimum experience in the financial industry

  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to read and analyze all forms of loan and lease documentation, drawing meaningful conclusions regarding the appropriateness of utilizing various documents for a specific purpose

  • Ability to calculate loan/lease payments on an HP calculator or in T-Value program

  • Ability to develop, prioritize and execute plans for accomplishing work with the proper sense of urgency and the ability to manage a wide variety of assignments and activities at the same time

  • Experience in equipment/vehicle leasing industry preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment and balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, as well as upward, downward and across the organization
