SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Customer Service Team Members will receive and prepare product, maintain displays and assist customers when needed. Our friendly Customer Service Team Members will assist customers during the checkout process, performing all cash register functions and bagging groceries. As a Customer Service Team Member, you must have a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor and a tenacious work ethic. It is also important that you display excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to have fun interacting with a wide variety of people.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Includes but is not limited to the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Maintain accurate pricing and clean and attractive displays

• Stock and clean shelves, frozen and dairy cases.

• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to a safe work practices.

• Assist customers when needed.

• Assist in labeling and pricing of retail items.

• Assist in serving prepared foods.

• Scan products and assist customers in the checkout process.

• Follow all cash handling procedures.

• Follow proper procedures to report errors in retail pricing.

• Learn proper codes for all retail items.

• Give every customer immediate and undivided attention. Follow through on all Customer questions and requests. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service.

• Assist supervisors in controlling customer flow and backed up lines; help to reduce waiting time for customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a “can do” friendly personality.

• Previous grocery experience preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
