Job Description

 

 

 

JOB FUNCTION:   Collects and analyses sales and market data to evaluate and report toward sales goals.  Researches and evaluates current economic condition that may affect the ability of organization to sell its products or services in the marketplace.   Will be responsible for developing methods and database to analyze sales and competitive data. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Prepares monthly, quarterly and year-end reports that are required from Japan and for President and Chief Executive Officer to use in managing the overall Yamato Corporation business.
  2. Works with sales staff and sales management as a source to collect market data used in the reporting process.
  3. Works with IT Technology Specialist to automate the reporting process as efficiently as possible.
  4. Examines and identifies emerging market trends to aid in prioritizing R&D efforts.
  5. Attends monthly sales meetings to collect and record market information and to share information that will support and enhance the sales effort.
  6. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  7. Requires strong professionalism as job requires handling confidential information.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Gathers, analyzes, and compares competitor data and pricing to that of our equipment.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:  No

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLLS :  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

 

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university with an emphasis in business, finance or marketing research.

 

  • Experience in market research or marketing analysis helpful.

 

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Force or similar CRM system.

 

  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills.

 

  • Have excellent written and verbal skills.

 

  • Be self-motivated.

 

  • Team oriented.
