A national facility management company is looking for a qualified Data Center Electrical Service Technician based in, or relatively close to the Annapolis, MD area.


The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Performing inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and critical infrastructure of high-voltage electrical systems and DC Power plants.
• Preparing electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Responding to emergency service calls at any hour of the day and troubleshooting and repairing the cause of the emergency.
• Repairing electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, and faulty wiring.


The qualified candidate will possess the following:
• A current Journeyman Electrician's license.
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
• Good computer skills including a command of both Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to read and work from drawings, diagrams, sketches and verbal instruction.
• Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks which include climbing of ladders and the lifting of up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends, and some holidays as needed.
• Must be a team player committed to working in a quality, safety-conscious environment.

The following are strongly desired: 3 to 5 years work experience in a Data Center and/or mission critical environment (DC plant, inverter, and/or UPS experience is a plus)
